FIELD REF / ABOUT

About

Dead Air Collective is an independent apparel brand based in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. We design and release graphic streetwear under a numbered Signal collection — Static Contact, Interference, Pressure — each piece built around a documented moment of anomalous contact.

What we make

Every release starts as a concept: a "signal" logged, dated, and cataloged like a field report. From there it becomes a print — distressed, layered, and applied to heavyweight streetwear basics. Garments are produced through a print-on-demand partner, made to order rather than mass-stocked, which is why timelines can run a few days longer than a typical online order.

The concept

Dead Air isn't a slogan — it's the idea the whole brand is built on: the silence that feels too heavy to ignore, the pause before something announces itself. Every Signal release is treated as an Archive entry, a piece of evidence from that pause. It's a creative frame for the apparel, not a claim about anything real.

What's next

Field Issue is our upcoming hard-goods line — field-grade equipment (starting with a pendulum kit and a field notebook) designed to work as legitimately as it reads. It's in development now, targeting a 2027 release, separate from the apparel line.
